Hey guys i have a 2004 Grand Prix and the other day i let my dad drive the car and when i got back in it the light in the dash that tells you the mileage and when you’re low on fuel or tire pressure it was out. is there anything he could have pressed or hit to make it go out? if not any ideas what it might be?

Reduced power usually is a problem in the electronic actuator control system- drive by wire. You could have a bad accelerator pedal position sensor or a bad throttle control motor. You would need to have the computer codes scanned. See this link for more info on reduced engine power warning…

Are you talking about the area of the dash gauges that shows this infomation, or the driver information center to the right of the gauges- it’s own little screen?

No, i dont think there is anything he could have done to tunr it off. Try pressing the buttons to see if you can get it to do anything. Next i would check the fuses. A fuse labled DISPLAY in the underhood fuse block.
