Chevrolet Malibu code P0171 lean fuel Possible MAF sensor, oxygen sensor

      Have an ’05 Chevrolet Malibu Classic with OBD code P0171 from AutoZone (lean fuel condition in bank 1). Possible causes were listed as MAF sensor, oxygen sensor, fuel injection issues… Unable to locate MAF sensor based off of service manual. Employee said there was not one on this vehicle. Contacted local service center and was told most likely the oxygen sensor. Purchased oxygen sensor from AutoZone and replaced it. Check engine light went off for 2 days and came back on. Returned the oxygen sensor and got another one. Installed it, and the check engine light has not gone off yet. What is the most likely issue and how do I fix it? Is it safe to continue to drive in the meantime?
