1995 Ford Escort Fan Stays On and Kills Battery

I HAVE A 1995 FORD ESCORT, JUST HAD THE TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP REPLACED, WITH 2 NEW HOSES AND NEW CABLES FOR THE NEW BATTERY. GOT IT HOME THE ALTERTOR WENT OUT GOT NEW ONE. WELL SINCE THEN I AM HAVING TO JUMP THE CAR OFF. I FOUND THAT THE MOTOR FAN ONCE I TURN IT OFF IS STILL RUNNING, IT RUNS UNTILL THE BATTERY IS DOWN… WHAT CAN THIS BE I AM RUNNING OUT OF MONEY.

ProTech:
The fan is staying on because the fan relay is staying powered up for some reason. You’d have to track down the cause of that to find your problem. Could be a wiring issue, a bad computer, a bad relay, fuse or circuit breaker etc.

THANK YOU, MY SON SAID I HAVE POWER TO EVERYTHING WITH KEY OFF, AIR, WIPERS EVERYTHING CAN BE TURNED ON WITH CAR TURNED OFF.

AND THE MOTOR FAN STAYS RUNNING. ???

I’d look for a bad ignition switch, or other power source staying on that is causing your problem.

THANK YOU TONS, I AM JUST A OLD GIRL.. LOVE MY CAR BUT MAN… THANK YOU AND BLESSINGS.

Mercury Sable

I have a 2000 Mercury Sable 4 door. Without any kind of warning whatsoever, my power windows, power mirrors, courtesy light, and trunk light quit working. I have checked the fuses none were blown. Any ideas?

You may have a bad circuit breaker. These are used with the fuses to protect those systems. Look in the fuse blocks for a small silver items a little bigger than a fuse. Swap them around or with a new one. They only cost a few dollars. Also check for broken wires in the rubber boot between the drivers door and the car body. Wiggle that around while pressing button to see if they start to work. If they do, then cut ti open and fix the wires.

Ford Fusion Heater And Radio

I have a question and wonder if someone can help me..my 2013 ford fusion’s radio and heater are now cutting off when I start my car. They both come on for like a second and than shut off. They will both stay on with the key turned on but not started. But soon as I start the car they both cut off.. was fine just this morning.

Answer: Sounds like your car has a power or ground problem. Could also be then entertainment control module. You are going to have to take it to the dealer for this one.
